Responsibilities:

Slide is looking for a talented and experienced UI/UX expert to develop fun, engaging, and highly interactive experiences for our users. We are looking for someone to work with us part-time on a project by project basis.

Responsibilities will include conceptualizing, developing, and refining interaction design. This role will require strategic thinking and acute communication with all members of the project team. User research will drive personas and scenarios that will result in conceptual concepts, annotated wireframes, interactive models, prototypes and functional specifications in order to develop user-centered designs.
 

Requirements:

* Minimum five years of user-centered design experience focused in consumer internet. This is a hard requirement.
*Experience designing interactions for either social networks or social network applications. This is a hard requirement.
* Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications. Proficient with a range of interaction design, visualization, and rapid prototyping tools.
* Experience with human factors principles
* Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate design ideas verbally and through quick sketches.
* Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Omnigraffle, Visio, and Dreamweaver
* Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and CMS. Experience with web 2.0 and rich internet concepts and delivery methodologies
* Strong experience conducting user research, including contextual inquiry and usability testing

* Experience with user research within an agile product development process
