Responsibilities:
- Build applications that will be used by millions of people
- Work on many layers of Slide's products, from front-end HTML to back-end servers
- Work with product managers to determine feasibility and scheduling for new projects
- Implement these new projects, and you will monitor performance
Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in at least one typical web programming language (Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, etc.).
- Expertise in JavaScript/HTML/CSS, including familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, MochiKit, YUI, Dojo, etc.)
- Ability to write fast code for extremely high-traffic applications, knowledge of runtime complexity issues.
- Ability to design and implement complex object-oriented abstractions.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assist other team members in problem solving.
- Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies, such as browsers, firewalls, and http.
- Working knowledge of source control software (CVS, Subversion, etc.)
Bonus:
- Experience with Facebook's developer platform and/or Open Social
