Online Marketing Intern at Slide in San Francisco, CA

Fabulous!  Slide is looking for Online Marketing Interns for Fall 2008!

About Slide:

We are the #1 developer of applications on social networks.

  • Our applications, like Slideshow, FunSpace, SuperPoke! and Top Friends, are as technically deep and sophisticated as they are popular.
  • Our 170 million users make us one of the top 10 web properties in the world; that's serious scale.
  • Slide was launched by Max Levchin, who co-founded and sold PayPal for $1.5 billion.

Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with users to establish solid rapport
  • Providing feedback to Slide to improve the user experience
  • Assisting with market research through surveys, usability studies, etc
  • Identifying technical bugs on behalf of the community
  • Engaging users on personal, 1:1 level
  • Seeding products to users within different social networks
  • Encouraging Slide enthusiasts to spread the word about new releases

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (feel free to submit links to work)
  • Highly in touch with pop culture
  • Active user of social networks, blogs, message boards, and forums (Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Orkut, Hi5, Friendster, Blogger, etc)
  • Must be proficient in MS Office suite programs
  • Understanding of social networks (please submit all profile URLs or PDFs if your profiles are private)

Bonus:

  • Experience working with a pop culture organization or blog a plus
  • Ability to communicate in conversational Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Chinese, or Japanese also a plus
